My kids refuse to eat anything with jam unless it is made using this recipe. They will not eat store bought jam anymore, ever since they got a taste of this recipe. I couldn't be happier with that!

Lovely easy recipe. I have tweeked it slightly ... especially as strawberries are cheap at the moment.
Same recipe however increased the strawberries to 3 punnets and reduced sugar to 105 grams and no vanilla paste.
The colour is more intense and a stronger fruitier taste.

Hi I made this doubling the amount of strawberries, and I added a little lemon juice, MC off. It was still sweet enough for us. Very nice and easy to make. I did need to reduce the temperature down to 100 - 95, due to it bubbling onto the lid.

I doubled the recipe, but kept 1 apple. I blitzed the apple first. Next time I will also blitz the berries first, as I was a bit worried about doing it at the end as it was so hot. I used 3/4 mulberries and 1/4 strawberries. Yum. I sterilise my glass jars in the microwave (not lids). Just add a bit of water to the jar and heat till the water boils.

Love this Jam, I make it weekly. I use a whole pink lady apple - unpeeled no problems. Use speed 2 to avoid it catching on the bottom using varoma temp in my TM5. Also add the vanilla after cooking.

I do a few tweaks to his recipe and find it then works perfectly for me without scorching on bottom of bowl:
cut sugar to 80, peel apple and roughly dice, add juice of half a lemon, cook at 100 C with MC off, don’t process jam after cooking time. Yum!

We felt like scones tonight so I whipped up a batch...then realised we had no jam, so I made this! It was delicious and ever so easy!! Next time, I'll peel the apple (and use a smaller one) as the apple flavour slightly overpowered the strawberry - but it was really yummy all the same. Smile
