Tip

These are great as are, or you can add in any of the optional extras for a different take.

They freeze great and the kids love them in their lunch boxes.

Also works well with half the amount of sugar.

Can use a fruit and nut muesli cereal mix (about 200g) instead of the rolled oats

I made this for Anzac Day as I already had Anzac biscuits in my cupboard. 😄 It was a great hit, very yummy but because of an earlier comment that it was crumbly, I added an extra 10 grams of butter. Will definitely make again. I didn't add any of the extras.

A very easy to go to recipe. Wanted something super easy to take for op shop morning tea tomorrow. Enthusiasm wasn't at it greatest. Worked a treat. I added choc chips, ran out of rolled oats so,added a mix of bran, cornflakes, weet bix and some just right. Hence very very tasty.

Thank you for a great receipe. My teenage daughter prefers this to any store brought muesli bar, which is a big win.

Delicious! Big Smile I used coconut sugar instead of raw sugar and maple syrup instead of golden syrup. Crispy on the edges and moist and chewy in the centre!  Cooking 7

  • I made this with dark choc

    Submitted by mrsm_jones on 28. February 2015 - 22:33.

I made this with dark choc chips and half sugar. They turned out well, if a little more crumbly than we're used to, but very tasty. Anyone know how to make them less crumbly??

I made this for morning tea tomorrow but had to sneak a piece just to make sure it was as delicious as it smelled. I used 130g sugar and was a bit heavy handed with the golden syrup.

Thank you - I made it with a natural muesli mix, only 70g sugar and wholemeal flour - it has worked a treat. I only needed to cook it for 15 minutes in my fan force oven, possibly because I may have spread it too thin. It tastes great!
