Ingredients

Slice

  • 200g milk chocolate melts
  • 200g Peanut Butter
  • 180g honey
  • 190g oats
  • 60g Shredded coconut- Extra
  • 80g walnuts, crumbled
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste

Topping

  • 200g milk chocolate melts
  • 20g coconut oil
  • Coconut, to sprinkle on top

Recipe's preparation

    Nougat
        1. Line a slice tin with baking paper.
        2. Place chocolate in TM bowl and grate 10 sec / speed 9.
        3. Add peanut butter and honey and melt 3 mins / 90°C / speed 1.
        4. Add oats, coconut, walnuts and vanilla and mix 30 sec / speed 4 / Reverse.
        5. Scrape mixture into prepared slice tin. 
        6. NB: the mixture is sticky – once majority out of TM bowl, replace bowl on TM unit and mix 5 sec / speed 10. This will 'flick' excess mixture off blades so no mixture is wasted. 
        7. No need to wash bowl.
    2. Topping

    1. Place chocolate and oil in TM bowl and grate 10 sec / speed 9. Scrape down and melt 5 mins / 50°C / speed 1.
    2. Pour melted chocolate on top of nougat in slice tin and sprinkle with coconut. Allow it to set in fridge for an hour.
    3. When set, cut into bars and enjoy! 
    3. To clean Thermomix bowl:

    1. Pour a glass of milk in TM bowl and mix 5 sec / speed 8.
    2. Heat milk 5 mins / 80°C / speed 4.
    3. Enjoy warm chocolate milk. No wasted chocolate!

  • i dont know what i did wrong

    i dont know what i did wrong but mine was really crumbly. it didnt combine well and was very hard to cut. i think mabie because i used crunchy PB..? Nxt time ill use less walnuts mabie half, & smooth PB, I may even cut down on the pb and add water and use sugar free choc melts.

    Wow, delicious!  i used almonds instead of walnuts. I found that mixing it was tough with the chocolate, honey and peanut butter, so just added some heat and then it moved after a little while.

    didnt have enough choc for top so topped it up with Nutella.

    Sooo Delicious!!! Didnt have the 180g of honey, only had 80g and then added 100g of water (that I put in honey jar and shook, so it was honey flavoured) and is still very delicious!! Definitely will make again!!

    Quite tasty but I found it didn't mix in the bowl (the individual quantity) without having to divide up the batch and mix it in smaller amounts before combining it back together. I also found that quantity of walnuts a little overpowering so I would reduce that by 20g or so next time or try a macadamia nut. Otherwise, it's a good slice so thanks for sharing.

    Oh yum! I tried to make double and the TM5 just couldn't make it work as the first few ingredients thicken, alas I emptied have out and then added about half through the MC hole and it still bound. TASTES amazing!
