      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Coconut yoghurt
  1. 1. Shake the coconut milk cans well to combine before opening. Then pour both into the TM bowl. Add the gelatine powder and coconut oil. Cook 10mins/100℃/speed 4

    2. Add arrowroot flour and cook 5mins/37℃/sp3.

    3. Pour mixture into a shallow plastic container and place in the fridge for 50 minutes. This allows it to cool faster. Once the 50 minutes is up, pour mixture back into TM bowl, and place back onto the Thermomix. It should be about 37℃ to 40℃.

    4. Add the contents of the Inner Health Plus capsules and the rice malt syrup. Mix 20 sec/sp5.

5 Select Automated recipes from the menu, and choose Plain Yoghurt. Scroll through the steps until you reach the start of the automated step (the circle with the A in the middle). Turn the dial to begin the 8 hours incubation.

    6. When the 8 hours has finished, the yoghurt will still look quite runny. This is ok. Pour into a storage container (I used an easi-yo container). Put in the fridge overnight, or for 12 hours. The yoghurt should set after this time.

Tip

Make sure all utensils are super clean. I did a vinegar and bi-carb wash on my TM bowl before making this recipe.

Awesome recipe. Loved that I could use auto function. I used potato flour instead of arrowroot and it turned out fine. This will save me millions on store bought coconut yoghurt  Big Smile

  • Firstly Thankyou soooo much!

Firstly Thankyou soooo much! I have been searching for a quick yet tasty coconut yoghurt for my 9 month old who has Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES). So far I know she can't have Dairy, oats and chicken. I'm to afraid to feed her things. She never really gets a lunch, I'm so stoked I can feed her something and she likes it to. For anyone wondering I didn't do the 8 hours in my Thermomix I poured it into an easiyo for 12 hours then placed it in the fridge for at least 6 hours. It's so creaming even my other two kids loved it!

Just wondering if I could just place in my easiyo overnight instead in the 8 hour TM automated way?

  • Hmm not sure what would taste

Hmm not sure what would taste eggy? Maybe the probiotic? Also might need to change the amount of cornflour used to make it thicker, or add a bit more gelatine.

  • First time making yoghurt. I

    Submitted by Superlusciously on 23. October 2015 - 10:12.

First time making yoghurt. I swapped arrowroot for corn flour and rice malt syrup for honey as that's what I had in the cupboard. used Faulding probiotics, chemist said they are equivalent to inner health plus.

Upon tasting before setting in the fridge is was rather yummy. Ate it after 8hrs of setting, rather running and can taste an egg like taste
