      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Pasties
  1. Add mixture of vegetables to TM bowl in 2 batches. Speed 5, 3 seconds. Transfer into a large bowl & add mince to large bowl as well.

Cut pastry to size needed, approx 4 rounds per sheet. Cut around a small plate or saucer.

Place mixture on half of each pastry round. Press to close. Place on a baking paper lined oven tray. Glaze with milk and place into a preheated 200 degree oven for 30mins or until golden brown.

  • Good recipe. Does make a LOT

    Submitted by Joolm on 23. May 2016 - 21:23.

Good recipe. Does make a LOT of meat mixture, as others have noted. I actually made a third of the recipe amount as I only wanted enough for three, and I couldn't refresh the mince. I made 12 pasties and still had to throw out more than half the meat mixture! They turned out really well though and were easy to make, and the family liked them.

I added TM chicken stock instead of salt and pepper, plus some frozen peas. Next time I would add more herbs and spices, as they were a little bland.

  • Great recipe very easy to

    Submitted by Mozziemel on 19. May 2016 - 19:43.

Great recipe very easy to make and makes a huge amount.

I would consider halving the contents next time.

I  exchanged the puff pastry for the thermomix shortcrust pastry, which went very well.

I doubled the amount and still had filling left over!

I also took Mrsbell01 advise and added an egg and gravox, plus I added a few herbs.

Next time I will add a few peas.

    Thanks for sharing
