This is a great Anzac recipe for thermie. We like Anzacs crunchy so I flatten them out a bit with a fork.

Thanks for sharing!! A great recipe. Time was perfect for softer but still a little crunchy! I reduced sugar and still tasted just as great!

  • Tasty but as another posted

    Submitted by nicmacconuladh on 25. January 2016 - 16:53.

Tasty but as another posted said, a bit sweet. Second time around I used a splash of maple syrup in rice malt syrup rather than the golden syrup, upped the shredded coconut slightly, didn't add any castor sugar but used choc chips- just to make it a little healthier for the lunchbox tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Very tasty recipe. I thought

    Submitted by bonnielees on 20. November 2014 - 15:13.

    Very tasty recipe.

I thought the end product (and I added sultanas) was too sweet.  I will use this recipe again but will reduce the amount of both sugars, and probably use raw sugar instead of caster.

I also added 1tsp of vanilla essence which, along with the sultanas has given us a nice variation on the traditional anzacs.

    Thank you

  • A sound base recipe, I will

    Submitted by bonnielees on 10. July 2014 - 22:56.

A sound base recipe, I will continue to use.  I reduced the amount of sugar and didn't add choc chips. I found the mixture a little dry (would have come together fine but not wet enough for my liking) so I added some vanilla essence and maple syrup.  Added a really nice flavour dimension.

  • I'm not sure if I did

    Submitted by BrookeW on 10. April 2014 - 12:21.

:O I'm not sure if I did something wrong but my mix was really dry, the biscuits didn't spread at All.

they taste delicious but they are more like crumbly balls, maybe next time ill add a bit more golden syrup.

I really like this recipe.  It has a good balance of ingredients.  I used rapadura instead of sugar and it was yummy.
