Just wanted to say for anyone wondering, I halved this recipe with no problems at all. Some people suggest if you half a recipe that you need to minus 20% of the cooking time, however that was not the case with this recipe. This recipe is on our fortnightly rotation. My 6 year old absolutely loves it and begs me to make it each week.

I was given a thermomix for Mothers day & this is all new to me. I tried this recipe tonight, im not 100% sure i understand. Does everything end up in the bowl to cook or do you put the rice in the basket to cook?
Any help & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I didn't have broccoli so made a mix of frozen vege ( thawed) and cauliflower ( blitzed until rice like consistency) and reduced water by 100g. I also added a mixture of bacon and ham to the sautée stage. My final variant was to add the butterfly wisk to the final cook stage. Turned out really nice! Yum.

Sooo good! Made this for the second time tonight. I did 2-3 cloves of garlic, added the bacon to the onion/garlic mix to sautée, added 50ml white wine and 50ml water to the rice initially and then 1L at the second part. I also added extra broccoli and put some garlic powder and pepper at the same time as the stock. So delicious! Thank you!

Sorry but i try to always be honest when i post a comment. This recipe isnt the best ive had and found without the butter and wine its wasnt a hit with big and small people. It lacked the rissotto take. Will be sticking to the one on the BCB, as this recipe never fails to delivery on taste.

This is the first dish I
This is the first dish I cooked in my Thermi and did not dissapoint.
I used 100g less of water (because of peoples comments about it being too runny) and left it to sit for 10 mins in the thermoserver. It was beautiful, and worked as a brilliant base for my arancini balls which I made straight after
Delicious and super easy to
Delicious and super easy to make. I halved the recipe as we were having it as a side. I also added the bacon with the onion.

Swapped broccoli for pea and zuchini as i realised after i had started cooking that i didn't have broccoli! (We have a newborn-I'm tired! )
Thanks
Yummo, this is delicious. I
Yummo, this is delicious. I sautéed the bacon with the onions as others suggested.. I also didnt have enough broccoli so added peas to make up the difference. I halved the stock, rice and water as it was only going to feed me and 3 kids but kept all other ingredients at the same measurements and cooking times. I also added the cheese and cream during the last 30 sec to stir through. perfect consistency and stilled filled the thermo server just over half. It was also a lovely green colour, the kids called it green rice, love it

This was delicious! My two under 5yrs loved it as did us parents I also reduced water by 200g as would have gone over max line, but still worked perfectly I thought. Thanks for sharing
VERY yummy family meal, thank
VERY yummy family meal, thank you. I reduced the water by 100g only because otherwise I would have gone over the MAX line. But it made no difference to the texture after resting.
I also added some warm BBQ chicken to the thermoserver when I added the risotto to rest and it was a really delicious addition

Delicious! I used some smoky bacon, sauteed it with the onion. I reduced the water and was concerned because it was still watery at the end, but after standing for 10 minutes - just right. Thanks for this great recipe.

Made this for dinner two
Made this for dinner two nights ago and was an absolutely winner. Served 4 adults and three hungry kids- all the kids asked for seconds which is a huge achievements.
Delicious risotto! As others
Delicious risotto! As others recommended I cooked bacon with onion. Just to mention, this recipe makes a very substantial amount of risotto, it fed 2 adults and 2 children with the same amount left for another dinner at a later date! Will definitely be making it again. Yum!
Really tasty risotto. Added
Really tasty risotto. Added my chopped bacon to the onions to saute as per other comments. Had some fresh thyme to use up so added about a teaspoon of leaves in. Very nice addition, goes well with the rest of the ingredients. I didn't have enough broccoli so added 2 MC fulls of peas about 10 mins into the final cooking stage. As a final yummy step instead of cream stirred through a heaped tablespoon of butter into risotto, this gives it a beautiful glossy texture (and delicious to boot!)
Great recipe thank you. I
Great recipe thank you. I followed the suggestions in the comments and sautéed the bacon and reduced the water by 150g and it was delicious without having to add cream. A quick tasty meal to have on hand
