This turned out like a thick mush rather than risotto - dry and almost minced consistency - not sure where this went wrong given reviews above tmrc_emoticons.(

This is fantastic. I even cooked it with long grain rice because it was all I had and it was perfect.

Did this without the wine or garlic (purely because I didn't have any on hand) and it is divine!

  • I needed a quick and easy

    Submitted by Meeshstraty on 20. June 2014 - 20:52.

I needed a quick and easy dinner tonight and this was a winner! I changed a few things as I didn't have everything. So no asparagus and no tomatoes but I added mushrooms and sauted with the leeks and also added some fresh basil at the end. DELISH!!  Big Smile

    Submitted by Kirstychev on 11. May 2014 - 21:36.

Made this tonight, I have never made risotto before. The kid's loved it! It was really nice, very easy and so filling. I didn't have any asparagus so I just left it out, and because I was making it for the kids I left the wine out and replaced it with more water and vegetable stock paste. It worked out beautifully.
