  • I found the liquid to be

    Submitted by kellijb 84 on 8. June 2015 - 12:28.

I found the liquid to be alittle too runny for a pasta dish so I will also be adding cornflour next time to make it alittle thicker otherwise its a great recipe for the families!!

This was one of the first dishes that I have made in the thermomix and I will defientely be making it again.  One of the best Tuna Bakes I have tried, and got many compliments.  Great dish for beginners to do. Thanks for sharing tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Yum-mo!   I was out of mushys

    Yum-mo!

I was out of mushys and didn't want to use wine.

    Modifications:

2 × heaped tblsp mushroom stock

2 x tomatoes quartered and pretty much pureed into the sauce

Couple handfuls frozen veg,  peas carrot and corn (extra corn because we like it) a minute in the micro with water like Tezza did,  but I threw mine in with the tuna.

    420g tin tuna

    275g water,  no wine.

Heaped tblsp cornflour mixed into a paste with two minutes to go from the end.

Next time I'll use multigrain or no bread at all.  But everyone loved it,  even my non tuna eating 14 year old.

Thanks so much for sharing,  this will be a definite regular in our house of six.

  • This is a great recipe but I

    Submitted by Woof on 13. June 2014 - 15:17.

This is a great recipe but I was concerned that there was not much to bind it all together. While it turned out and the kids loved it I will add a tbs of Cornflour too next time. We'll done. Love a good tuna bake tmrc_emoticons.)

Happy TM31 and TM5 owner Smile

  • I also add one heaped

    Submitted by tezza65 on 1. June 2014 - 19:58.

I also add one heaped tablespoon of cornflour in step 9 when I added the wine, water etc.  I replaced the mushrooms with a small bag of mixed vegetables and while the wine mixture was cooking, I microwaved the vegetables in a little water, for 5 minutes.

I mixed together the tuna, veges and pasta in the casserole container and topped with grated cheese.

It was a great hit with the family, even the fussy youngsters!
