      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop carrot and capsicum in TM bowl for 6 seconds, speed 5.

    Transfer to Varoma bowl.

Weigh peas and corn into Varoma bowl and set Varoma bowl aside.

Chop onion and garlic in TM bowl for 3 seconds, speed 6.

Add bacon to TM bowl and chop for 2 seconds, speed 5. Scrape down sides on bowl.

Add oil and saute for 5 minutes, 100ºC, speed 1. Add to Varoma bowl with vegetables.

Without rinsing, add water to TM bowl, insert basket and weigh in rice. With Varoma bowl in place, cooke for 15 minutes, Varoma, speed 4.

Meanwhile, wet and scrunch a piece of baking paper and lay on Varoma tray. Poor eggs onto baking paper.

When time is up, stir chicken into vegetable mix and place Varoma tray into place. Cook for 5 minutes, Varoma, speed 4. Cut up eggs with spatula.

Transfer rice, vegetable mix and egg to a large bowl or container. Add sauces and salt combine.

    Serve immediately.

    Easy as!
It shredded my bacon. I might dice it next time myself.

    I used brown rice 300g
400g mixed carrot peas and corn
    3 eggs

My kids loved this meal! I served with chicken wings.
It fed family of 5 plus left overs for couple lunches!

Very nice! I also swapped 2tbsp of the kecap manis for normal soy sauce (and chicken for prawns), but so nice and easy to make!
Has anyone played around with making half? I assume the water and the cooking time would stay the same, anything else could go ½?

Was very excited to try this recipe, but found it too sweet. Next time I will use soy sauce instead of kepcap manis as the family all thought this. Otherwise it was excellent.
