You could also use real mangoes, but probably need to add a little more.

  • A good recipe. I used 2 x

    Submitted by Kado on 6. December 2013 - 20:16.

A good recipe. I used 2 x fresh mangoes instead of tinned and added a little bit more water. I think this would taste awesome with a sprinkling of curry paste or powder.

  • Tasty, easy dish enjoyed by

Submitted by Bronze Sunflower on 21. October 2013 - 20:22.

Tasty, easy dish enjoyed by the adults in our house. The kids weren't taken by it though, maybe if I left the capsicum out next time they would probably like it.

I used the syrup from the mangoes as part of the liquid as suggested and it worked well.  Thanks for the sharing.

  • Hi Kymshep, No I didn't add

    Submitted by kailey47 on 6. September 2013 - 19:11.

Hi Kymshep,No I didn't add the syrup (didn't worry too much about straining either though) But I can't see why you couldn't use the syrup instead of water, actually would add to the flavour.

When you add the mango, do you add the juice? If it, could it be used to replace some of the water? Tia tmrc_emoticons.-)
