If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Place TM steaming basket into TM bowl.
Weigh rice into basket.
Add water to 1 litre mark and cook for 18 minutes, Varoma, speed 4.
Once cooked, remove simmering basket and transfer rice into a large dish that you can spread the rice out to cool. Add a splash of sushi seasoning (or homemade seasoning if preferred) and stir through the rice. Allow to cool. Use as needed.

Tip
This amount of rice makes enough for 10 rolls of sushi, depending on how much rice you use for each roll.

sorry for the late reply, the rice will last no longer than a couple of days in the fridge as it will go hard. You can definitely halve the recipe and reduce cooking time by 20%
