Ingredients

Bacon mushroom cabonara

  • 150 grams Fettucine
  • 450 grams warm water
  • 200 grams cream
  • 3 --- bacon rashers, Rind removed
  • 10 button mushrooms, Halved
  • 1 clove garlic, Crushed
  • 1 egg, Beaten
  • 60 grams Grated Tasty Cheese

Recipe's Preparation

Bacon mushroom cabonara

1.

Grate cheese and crush garlic using thermomix if required.


2.

Place all the ingredients in Closed lid except the egg and cheese and cook 15 mins, temp. 100', counter-clockwise operation speed 1.

2 mins before the end, pour egg through the hole


3.

Pour into thermoserver, turn Closed lid upside down and using the knob on the base of the Closed lid spin the blades back and forth and all the pasta will fall out easily.


4.

Sprinkle cheese over the top and serve.

Made this tonight. So easy. I also cooked 1/2 onion, 2 courgettes & the bacon before adding the other ingredients, & omitted the mushrooms. I used spiral pasta instead of fettucine. Sauce was a little runny bit still yum. Enough for 3 adults + leftovers. 

Sounds yummy im going to cook this tonight for dinner if i change it to 300gms pasta should i double the water or increase cream? Thanks Smile

I added onion and a chicken stock cube.

How did everyone go with the fettuccini sticking out the top ..snapped it in half but still popped up thru the lid .

 

I added onion 

chopped bacon & onion & garlic

saute 2 mins 100 speed 1

before adding rest of ingredients

So fantastic!  My only complaint was that we didn't have enough left for lunches the next day...we ate it all for our dinner!  Wink

This recipe was wonderful!  I am new to thermomixing and this was the first recipe that I tried with the pasta cooking in with the sauce...turned out great!  Between my husband and I we ate it all, so I had none for lunch the next day, but so good!  Easy-to-follow directions and yummy!  The only change that I made was that we didn't use tasty cheese...just grated parmesan on the top after cooking.   :)

I am new to thermomixing...made this tonight and added a very small amount of brocolli and a tiny tin of corn to the mixture...I also accidently added the cheese to the mix with the egg...it was very thick and I had to add more water...I will be making this again soon but adding more water.   Tasted great... Smile

Super easy but I found it tasted rather bland.  Needs some spice or salt next time.
