Absolutely delicious and our favourite dish!

I use lime juice instead of lemon now as I ran out once and will never go back!

I only use around 650g chicken and pan fry it in some butter with all the marinade juices. It really adds to the flavour.

I also leave out the onion to make it tummy friendly for my daughter and substitute almonds for pinenuts.

It makes so much I just mix it all up in the pot I cooked the pasta in but everyone comes back for seconds so there's never much left over. This is a definite weekly dinner at our house

I have made this a few times now and it is delicious. For the vegetarians in the family, I just leave the chicken out. So it is one meal that can cater for everyone. I often throw in some sun dried tomatoes for extra flavour.

Turned out really nice. I cut the chicken into bite size pieces and fried on the stove in a large pan, then tossed through the cooked pasta and pesto, and it was yum. I used wholemeal spaghetti and it went together perfectly.

Really nice flavour to this pesto sauce without certain ingredients being overpowering. I think the ingredients and method is spot on. Certainly one to add to my collections!

So delicious! I shredded the cooked chicken before I added it to the pesto sauce. It's a lot of food (family of 5) but there's enough leftovers for a couple of lunches. Thanks for an awesome recipe.

Mr 6 has low iron and he loves basil pesto. This was a great way to get some spinach into him (with lots of iron) and he didn't even notice the difference! Adding chicken also made it a more substantial meal.

    Submitted by Jaynic on 19. November 2014 - 19:39.

A great recipe loved by all the family

    Made a few modifications

    - cut chicken into bite size pieces and it cooked in 20 minutes

    - added two zucchini after chopped onion stage

    - used pine nuts instead of almonds

    - left out feta and cream

Next time( and there will be a next time) I would put pesto sauce in a large casserole dish as thermo server was too small for pasta, chicken and sauce

    Submitted by Kateris on 2. December 2013 - 21:31.

    Yummo!

Nice and easy and very tasty.

I used normal spinach and English spinach and only had 70g fetta. I also only added 30g of olive oil in cream. Was dish.

I used 600g of chicken thigh cubed and fried in a pan, then added the pesto and spaghetti to reheat and mix through evenly.

With th marinade I also added more lemon juice to make the marinade go further. Could taste the lemon on the chicken in the end dish and it added another nice dimension.

My 3 yo and 5 yo also enjoyed it.

    Will certainly make again!

    Thanks for sharing

Just made this tonight and VERY YUMMY  tmrc_emoticons.) .... only things I did different or would change next time would be to cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces .... I already made them smaller than recipe said but would make them smaller again .... easier to eat for whole family and would cook even quicker .... I also only added 30 gms of oil (not 60 gms) to sauce with cream .... I also would only cook say 350 / 400 gms of pasta as I found 500 gms to be too much to incorporate into the sauce .... would definitely make again .... delicious !!!  Love
