I didn't have jam sugar or enough raw sugar so I used 10g Jamsetta + 240 raw sugar and 250g white sugar. Ended up with a lovely consistency.
I flipped the steam basket over and put on top of the lid as I wasn't sure if it would bubble over. Only one or two splashes at the end but I'm glad I put the basket on.
Super delicious & super easy....

Jean this is awesome!!! I
Jean this is awesome!!! I just made three different batches of jam after strawberry picking and this is the best one by far!
Brilliant recipe, I used
Brilliant recipe, I used plums and it was such a lovely flavour, I gave several small jars to friends and they all raved. Will be making this again using different fruit - cannot wait. I did find the recipe very sweet despite using 50g less sugar. But I guess thats jam for you! I didn't want to reduce the sugar content too much incase it affected the texture of the jam - which by the way was marvellous. I used the tip to reduce the varoma time at the end for plums as they set quicker - i did 12 mins varoma time and it was spot on. I pretty much ate half a loaf of bread in one sitting just eating jam on toast haha
This recipe was so simple and
This recipe was so simple and delish - and best of all, I didn't even have any burnt jam at the bottom of my bowl to deal with (unlike another Thermo recipe I'd tried). Thanks for sharing!!
Awesomeness = My 1st Jam
Awesomeness = My 1st Jam Attempt ever

Hi Jeodon, thanks for a
Hi Jeodon,
thanks for a fantastic recipe - it was so easy to follow and I love that you can adapt it to use any fruit in season. I've made peach, peach and passion fruit and plum jam today. Ran out of jam seta sugar but plan to make nectarine jam tomorrow when I get more sugar. Two jars of each one
Lovely jam! I only used less
Lovely jam! I only used less than half the sugar and it was still sweet but not sickly, lovely on fresh bread. Thanks for sharing, I'm new to the TM world and this was super easy to follow
This was the easiest jam ive
This was the easiest jam ive made in the thermomix and absolutely beautiful consistency and taste. My nan always told me to warm the sugar in the oven before mixing in the fruit so i feel like this is a more traditional version of jam making just made easier in the thermomix. Today was nectarine jam but ill be trying strawberry and peach very soon.
Hi there how fantastic you
Hi there how fantastic you won,i have a page thermo-envy if you could share a photo of jam and your ribbon it would be fantastic thank you for letting me know kiwi and pinapple is fab as well

hi just to say bit late but always make sure your jars are warm
I used strawberries, kiwi
I used strawberries, kiwi fruit and a vanilla pod in mine. Turned out perfectly.I entered it into the Perth Royal Show cookery competition and won first place with it. Will be using this base for all my jam recipes from now on.
I've found a tablespoon or two of balsamic vinegar cuts through all the sweetness and highlights the fruit.
Great basic recipe. I use a
Great basic recipe. I use a combination of brown sugar, jam setting sugar and stevia (remembering that stevia weighs one tenth of sugar. Just a little help to my diabetes.

WARNING - I put the jam in the jar and closed the lid while it was hot to vacuum seal it like the edc says, and as I turned the jar over, the pressure popped the lid of and boiling hot jam went all over my fingers spent the next couple of hours soaking them in cold water....
Ok so I am cooking this
Ok so I am cooking this atm.......I read the recipe wrong and only bought 1 pack (50g) jam setter. I couldn't be bothered going back to the shops so though I would try it anyway I'll do extra veroma cooking time and hope for the best

hi Delvene make sure you stir
hi Delvene
make sure you stir the sugar before goes in bowl as i think the pectin can settle on top in packet,i found the plum/nectarine/peach needed less jam setting sugar say 100/400 raw. but berrys of any type need min 150/350.the plum went really set but it was jummy with cheeese bit like fruit paste so it dident go to waste. If too runny do extra veroma time to thicken,
good luck
I have had problems getting
I have had problems getting any jam I try to make being too runny so I tried this one. Now I have the oppostie problem, it is thick as anything and very hard to get out of the jar let alone spread. I think I'll try reducing the jam setting sugar amount but i just wondered if anyone else had the same problem? Thanks.
I'm a novice jam maker, but
I'm a novice jam maker, but having been given a box of nectarines by a friend, I decided to try this recipe (it sounded so easy and claimed to be 'fool proof'). I hadn't heard of Jam Setting Sugar, so I Googled it - it's a CSR product available at the supermarket. It is so easy and it works - I made it whilst having breakfast and watching a DVD (with a couple of interuptions admittedly)!! Because the recipe makes a small quantity (500 gms of fruit) it doesn't bubble and splash out of the top of the lid and all over your TM unit, unlike another recipe I tried last week with our home grown cherries! I've ended up with 2 good sized jars of beautifully coloured delicious jam. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Easy, delicious, can't
Easy, delicious, can't wait to try it on pancakes! Just made 6 jars strawberry jam!

I ran out of Jamsetta but had kilos of plums to turn into jam. This recipe saved me having to go down to the supermarket!
Too easy!
