Tip

This will produce a thick, crunchy, semi-sweet peanut satay sauce.  Goes really nicely with chicken, vegetables and rice.
Use smooth peanut butter if you wish to have a less crunchy sauce.
Great for kids, as it is mild and semi-sweet.

Note: Recipe converted to use with Thermomix from StayAtHomeMum website.

Have made this sauce a few time now.  Turns out purfect every time.Wouldn't look at any other from now on! Big smile

I used this recipe as a base for Satay Beef with good results- children very happy- Thanks for the great recipe will def be using it again Smile

After sauting oninon and garlic, added 600g of beef strips  and a pinch of salt.  Cooked for 10 min / 100 */reverse/speed 1 with MC removed and TM on mixingbowl lid. Then added  remaining ingredients, cooked for 3 min /100 */ reverse/ Speed 2.

Great recipe, both kids (7&6) and hubby loved it! Will definately use this recipe again! Thanks for converting it for us! xxx

Just made this New Years party plate. Chicken satay stick and dipping sauce Tastes great. Thank you

This was the best.  I read through the comments and decreased on the onion to 1/2 onion the added an extra 10gms of everything else.  I also added 3 tsp Red Thai Curry Sauce (as I didn't have any curry powder) and a splash of wine and a tsp of dried chilli flakes.  It then had a bite to be appreciated.  I served this over chicken satay skewers and a salad of mixed lettuce leaves and onion with a sesame oil and balsamic vinegar dressing.  Ymmmo

Tried this tonight, really nice. I used smooth peanut butter, only because that's all we had in the cupboard. I threw in an extra tablespoon of peanut butter and a bit of sweet chillie sauce, cause I like a little bit of bite.  Had it over chicken skewers but it would be delish with just roti bread. :)

LOVE THIS!!!!! It's my 'go to' recipe for when my family wants satay ... or I want to show off to friends. It tastes incredible and has great texture.

Hi everyone, glad most of you like it.  I can't take credit for it, all I did was convert it for TMX use.

Very very YUM!!! Loved it! I added a small dried chilli and a teaspoon of curry powder and used it for chicken satay pizzas. Yummo!!!  Cooking

Thank you for sharing. This was so easy and all ingredients were in the cupboard so I didn't need to go and buy anything. Tastes great too. I also only had coconut cream but it was fine. I'll be turning it into satay chcien risotto a little later.

Thanks again, this is a keeper!

I  just made this and thought it was way too oniony tasting.  I will make it again with much less onion.

Oh just lovely! Just like the Chinese shop only I made it!  Smile I used coconut cream not milk and it was fine. Love

Very Yummy thank you.

Added a dash of white wine and a sprinkle of curry powder - ABSOLUTELY DELISH!!

This was amazing!!  Both kids really enjoyed it (6 year old and 3 year old) and hubby too. I made this, then cooked the rice whilst steaming the chicken and veggies. Delish!

:)I'm a new thermomix user so am trying everything! Made the sauce to use as a base for my satay chicken pizza, excellent. The left over sauce will be tomorrow nights dinner with rice... Thanks

This isb great love the taste but if u want to make it to preserve it does not keep because of the cocnut milk.

Smile I added some peanuts to it also (chopped them a bit first) Outstanding!

Tried this tonight and it was great. Had it as sauce over some chicken. Going to use it next time for a dip for our meat fondue and also going to try it making my own peanut butter. Thanks for the recipe!
