Quinoa Porridge

  • 1 Red apple quartered
  • 80 grams Quinoa (washed), Red, white or black
  • 145 grams water
  • 2 heaped teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
  • Sweetener to taste, honey, stevia, agave etc

Recipe's preparation

    Quinoa porridge
  1. Pulse apple until chopped, scrape down the sides with spatula 

  2. Add all Ingredients and cook on reverse for 15-20 minutes speed 2, 100 degrees. 

    You know it's cooked when the 'tails' of the quinoa appear 

  3. Remove from TM and add sweetener to taste 

     

  4. Serve with fruit and/yoghurt if desired

     

    **To get the maximum nutritional value from your Chia seeds soak overnight in 1 cup water and then use the water as part of the water measurement above. Chia can be left out however has high levels of omega 3 and fibre

    Just tried this one and great hit with all including my fussy GF son. Doubled the quinoa and apple and was enough for 4. Will definitiately be cooking this one again. Sweet enough with just pink lady apples without adding sweeteners. Divine with fresh blueberries.
