Recipe's preparation

Sesame & Tahini puffed rice bars with dark chocolate.
  1. To make the LSA: Mill 250g Linseed, 165g Sunflower Seeds, 85g Dry Roasted Almonds until you reach desired consistency,

  2. Put the pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, almonds, apricots and figs into the TM bowl.  Set lid to closed position and using the Turbo function, turbo 2-3 times until you reach a roughly chopped consistency.  Pour mixture onto a 26cm square baking tray and add the rice, coconut and sesame seeds and mix well.

  3. Put the honey, tahini and golden syrup into a ramekin and place the tray and ramekin into the oven for 30 mins until mixture is warm and honey mixture is liquid.

  4. In a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients with the honey mixture and add the LSA to bind.  (you could do this in your Thermomix but it’s a bit sticky).

  5. Line the baking tray now with baking paper and spread the mixture over, it should be about 1.5cm deep.  Place in the fridge until set (about 20 mins).

  6. Break the chocolate in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 8 secs, speed 5.  Then melt on 60 degrees, speed 2 for  2 mins

  7. Once the seed mixture is set, remove from the fridge and brush the chocolate over, spreading thinly - return to the fridge until set then cut into squares.

Good question, sorry I left that out.  It's 1/2 cup (40 grams).  I'll edit it.  Thanks

  • What weight of LSA is used in

What weight of LSA is used in the recipe? Is it half of the 500g your instructions in step 1 make?

So is 250g of LSA required for the bars?
