Loved the idea of this recipe but encountered problems with the execution. Both times I found the crumble to be more of a sugar crust - socond time I added more oats and flour to get the right consistency. I loved the flavor combinations of the rhubarb, strawberry and lemon with the vanilla. Tried both vanilla paste 1/2 tsp and this time a bean. Thanks for the recipe. Laughing out loud

:)I took this to a work party and everyone loved it. One lady even rated it as one of her top 2 crumbles...then changed it to the top crumble that she had ever tasted and asked for the recipe! Well done and thank you.

Great thinking Carol - pecans are a great substitute!! Smile

Lo ved the crumble topping.  I will be using it for all my fruit crumbles.  Didn't have any hazelnuts, so used pecans instead.
