You need to use 'thickened' cream to make it set like a normal cheesecake. The Philadelphia recipe on their website uses thickened cream and it's very similar to this one.  I have made it twice and works perfectly. It is rich though so I used half the sugar and no vanilla extract, it might even be fine without sugar since there is so much chocolate. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this again  on the weekend after finding it too solid last time I thought I would use a combination of philly and condensed milk to make it lighter. This worked really well however I forgot that the condensed milk would make it sweeter do need to leave the sugar out next time then it will be perfect. I used 375g philly 1 tin condrnsed milk.

I made this for my kids in the school holidays and my ice cream loving child said that she liked this even better than ice cream!! It was so smooth and decicious and easy. Very filling too so it satisfies the sweet tooth and the appetite. I will definitely be making this again!

Great recipe.

Easy peasy - I made this in the morning in less than half an hour and had it in the freezer till needed that night.  I didnt put maltesers in the middle, and I also put it in a slice tin and cut into 4cm squares to serve (place maltesers on top with thought to where you are cutting because they dont cut easily!!).  Everyone loved it, but agreed that you wouldnt want a bigger piece than the little squares because it is so rich!

I made this and it is delicious,  but very ruch, I think it would be just as nice with milk choc in the gilling with the maltesers on top (ones ij the middle not needed) or if using toberone in filling uust grate more toblerone ontop, it definately needed cream on top, it set really firm.

Yum yum yum! Nice and velvety rich. Went with the thickened cream someone suggested and it set perfectly. Thanks for a great recipe I shall definitely make again.

Just awesome!  Was a huge hit at the party!

Yum!!! I used thickened cream rather than pouring cream which helped make it 'set' firmer and the consistency was perfect. Also only used about 100grams of maltesers in the cheesecake and topped with cream and sprinkled with flake. The cream helped cut through the richness of the cheesecake. Decadent!

I made this for 40 collegues at work and they all loved it!! so easy and yum!

Nice easy recipe. Doesn't need the malteasers inside, very sweet. Would leave those out next time.

Great recipe!!!

because i read it was more like a mousse, I added 1 sheet of gelatin...worked a treat.... I will leave out the middle layer of malteasers next time...I don't think they're needed.... and I might try and crush them on the top!!

also because it was a hot summers evening I kept it in the freezer until serving time.

All in all a HUGE hit!

Ps: used 185gm bag of malteasers

Amazing!!!!

(I did add gelatin 1 1/2 teaspoon to 2 tablespoon hot water )

i was determined to get it to set.

(I made 4 hours before serving and it was perfect! )

thank you.

Yum but very sickly Smile we'll wait until tomorrow to see if the visitors like it Smile

This is an amazing recipe! I have made it time and time again. It is so popular amongst my family and friends now. I usually whip cream up and spread it evenly across the top then grate some milk chocolate over it. I leave out the malteasers ... So yummmm Smile

Was our second Xmas dessert option and big success! :)

I made this recently Smile was soooo yummy

This was so good that by the time I finished cutting it up, I didn't even get a piece!  Only needed about half the number of maltesers.  Thanks! Big smile

Absolute hit tonight at a family dinner. I read the other comments and ended up adding some gelatin mixed with 3 tblspoons of boiling water as I wanted it to set like a cheesecake. I also only put the maltesers on top and it was fabulous. I'll definitely be making this one again. Smile :) Smile :)

Made this the other night & had it whilst watching the AFL grand final! Went down a treat & was a hit...only thing I would probably do is to add more toblerone at step 6. Very creamy & such a delight to eat! Will make again

Thanks, my husband loved this for his birthday, will be making it again.

I agree with the comment that the cheesecake is more like a cheese mousse! I have kept mine in the freezer to harden it up! Still tastes just as good!

I have this in the fridge setting now, I don't think cheesecake is an accurate description of this recipe at all.  It's more like a cheese mousse.

Made this for work morning tea, gone in seconds and everyone wanted the recipe easy to make and very yummy!!! Cooking Smile I crushed the malteesers on top instead of whole ones.

Made this for my sons birthday, after only my Thermie for a week. Turned out perfectly, thanks Smile

What a shame.... Made this for a guests lunch the day before it was required, kept it in the fridge and it turned out like a chocolate cream rather than cheesecake - gorgeous first couple of spoonfuls and very sickly thereafter. Does anyone know what I have done wrong for it to not set???

Took this to work today......they loved it. Very decadent

Made this today, definitely a winner!!

Big smile

Made this today... Very quick! Soo yummy!! I didn't put the maltesers in the middle , only on the top. Very rich! Thanks for sharing this recipe, we all loved it!  Cooking
