Recipe's preparation
Place milk, vanilla essence, vanilla paste and 150g whipping cream into the mixing bowl and cook for 8 min/80C/speed 3.
Add white chocolate and cook for 2 min/80C/speed 3 or until dissolved.
Soak the gelatine leaves in cold water for 3 minutes, then drain.
Add the soaked leaves into the cream and chocolate mixture and mix 20 sec/speed 5 until dissolved.
Remove, set aside and place in refrigerator to cool - stirring occaisonally until mixture is starting to set (should coat the back of an inserted spoon).
This process may take 3 - 4 hours.
Place sugar into mixing bowl and mill 20 sec/speed 8.
Insert Butterfly, add remaining cream (150g) and whip for 20 sec/speed 4 or until holding stiff peaks (do not over whip).
Pour cooled chocolate mixture into the whipped cream and mix 20 sec/speed 3 until combined, scraping down sides if necessary.
Divide into 6 serving moulds that have been lightly coated with vegetable oil.
Cover and chill for 24 hours.

If you are not confident removing the panna cotta from individual moulds then divide mixture into 6 stemware glasses and serve directly out of them instead.

I put all the cream in at once and it turned out very well. I think 1.5 sheets of gelatine would have been enough though. It set quickly in th fridge in individual servings. I served it with paoched spiced pears and it ws yum!

Have made this recipe many times now and it has never failed me. I serve in stem glasses with drunken berries and an almond biscotti on the side side. Looks and tastes spectacular. Thanks Nico.
My first time making Panna Cotta and it was a hit!...
My first time making Panna Cotta and it was a hit! Everyone loved it. I didn't have vanilla essense so just used vanilla bean paste and it worked fine. I doubled the mix and made 10 serves for my dinner party. I used small plastic bowls and it was so easy to turn them out. I didn't have gelatin leaves so used a heaped dessert spoon of gelatin powder and it worked fine. Served with the strawberry and raspberry coulis from this site.

One of the best desserts I've ever made - a hit with everyone! Thanks for this great recipe!!
I doubled the recipe in my TM5 and added 1tbsp of gelatin grains/powder instead of gelatin leaves.
I served in glasses with 1/2 tbsp of Nutella at the bottom of each glass, followed by the pannacotta + I then topped with a raspberry coulis & Tim Tam shavings. It was SO good! I'll definitely make this again!!
I served 6 people- I would have thought I'd have been able to make more given I doubled the recipe, so I was glad to have done this!

Panna cotta didn't turn out
Panna cotta didn't turn out as I expected. When turned up didn't hold their shape. I followed the recipe exactly, Had 30+ hours in fridge to set. Even went out and bought gelatine leaves, I normally only use powder for recipes.
Tasted nice. Would make again but only serve in glasses.
Ohh my golly. My face was
Ohh my golly. My face was planted in the bowl to lick it clean....we'll almost, but it is certainly delish. I saw that it would take 3- 4 hours at step 3. I actually got a surprise when I checked in at 90 mins and was already set, so had to rewhip up to loosen.
What a simple dessert! So tomorrow I will be at the table with the conversation not out in the kitchen preparing the next course. So happy to have discovered this recipe. Ohh and I omitted the icing sugar as it was already sweet enough for my taste.
Thanks Nikko, another winner.
Really delicious! I served
Really delicious! I served them in small bowls so didn't have to worry about getting them out of moulds. I doubled the recipe in my TM5 and put in a tablespoon of gelatine powder at the melting chocolate stage. Made a dark chocolate ganache to set on top then served with fresh berries on top. Yum!

Excellent recipe. I set them in disposable "wine glasses" to bring to a friend's house and placed raspberry couli on top. Looks great.
Very yummy and easy to make
Very yummy and easy to make if your organised for the 24 hour set time. Will definetly make them again!
Made exactly per the recipe
Made exactly per the recipe except used 2 metric (5ml) teaspoons of gelatine powder, which I added during the chocolate melting stage, worked a treat. Enjoy...
I just did a bit of a Google
I just did a bit of a Google search to find out how much gelatine powder to use instead of the sheet and found that 1tsp is equal to one sheet. I've not tried it yet but will be

I have made this twice now, once for Christmas and once for a dinner party. I used one less gelatin sheet as I didn't need to unmould mine... very good recipe, fantastic with Rasberry Coulis
