Ingredients

Beetroot and Walnut Spread

  • 2 large beetroot, peeled and cubed
  • 100mL olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Organic Honey
  • 1 tbsp rosemary leaves
  • 1/2 cup Activated Walnuts
  • pinch sea salt flakes
  • pinch cracked pepper

Recipe's preparation

    1. Add 500g water to mixing bowl.
    2. Place beetroot into simmering basket and cook 20 min/Varoma/speed 3.
    3. Combine beetroot, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, rosemary, walnuts, salt and pepper in bowl and mix 10 sec/speed 5. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Tip

The acidity of fresh fruit and vegetables varies greatly so always taste your spread at the end and adjust seasoning with extra honey or salt if required.

    This Spread was lovely, I Spread it (Thick)  over GF Toast & Topped with Bacon & Egg & used the left over for a dip in our lunches.
