Caramelised onion with garlic

Ingredients

1 jar(s)

Caramelised onion

  • 500 grams onion brown
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 50 grams olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, Optional
  • 60 grams brown sugar
  • 40 grams red wine vinegar

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop garlic 4seconds speed 5


    Peel and slice onion into thin strips (or for a finer texture chop with garlic in step 1)


    Add olive oil and balsamic and sauté Varoma   20min counter-clockwise operationspeed 1-2 mc out


    Add brown sugar and red wine vinegar and sauté Varoma  15mincounter-clockwise operationspeed 1-2 mc out


    Pour into sterilised jar and store in refrigerator

Tip

This is quiet a thick relish/jam you could add more liquid in the last 1 minute.

    I just made this and sealed it in a jar.  Although I've not tasted yet it smells devine.  Soooo easy !

    Planning on using it in mini tartlet cases topped with crumbed goats cheese for a party appertiser. Thnks for sharing the recipe  Big Smile
