  • 1/2 onions, brown
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 sweet spiced gherkins, (or to taste)
  • 250 g cream cheese

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop Onion 5 secs on speed 6/7.

    Add oil and sauté 2 mins 100deg on speed 1.

    Add gherkins and chop 5 secs on speed 6/7.

    Add cream cheese and beat 30 secs on speed 5/6.

    Scrape down sides and beat a few more secs until smooth.

    Yum! Used 7 gherkins, but felt I could use even more to ramp up the gherkin flavour. But very tasty regardless. Will be making again. Thanks for a fab and easy recipe. Gotta love recipes where there is few ingredients - easy!

    I will be trying this as an emergency dip this arvo! I only have sweet spiced gherkins rounds (which I presume will be fine!) But just wondering if anyone could tell me approximately how many grams? Thanks!

    I made this dip as a spread for sandwiches. It is very tasty and adds a little zing to the cream cheese. I also used 7 gherkins but next time I will use a lower speed when I put the cream cheese in as it goes everywhere.  tmrc_emoticons.)

    I wanted a recipe for gherkin dip for my sons Harry Potter party for a bowl of 'troll bogies' so I'll try it out tomorrow thanks! Will see how many gherkins I can add to make it as green as possible, maybe even a drop of green food dye… sorry if that sounds gross tmrc_emoticons.) was thinking spinach dip would be greener but less popular with all the kids
