Sauce

  • 1 level tablespoons oil (coconut or olive)
  • 1 small brown onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cloves garlic
  • 1 heaped teaspoon Dried oregano,basil,thyme,marjoram
  • 1 sachet tomato paste
  • 1 can Whole peeled tomatoes or 4 fresh (very ripe) roma tomatoes halved
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 can lentils, drained and rinsed
  • 4 fresh mushrooms, chopped

Recipe's preparation

    Tomato Sauce
  1. Chop onion and garlic for 4 secs speed 5

    Add oil and saute' for 3 mins, 100oC speed 1

    Add canned or fresh tomatoes, oregano, lentils, mushrooms and tomato concentrate.  Cook for 15 mins, 100oC, speed 1. Blend for a few secs to get desired consistency.

    Steam some brocolli on top in the varoma bowl and serve the sauce over pasta. (I used organic mung bean pasta - gluten free)

    Add salt and pepper to taste

    Enjoy!
