It has taken me a long time to create a sauce that is tasty, thick and full of goodness. I hope you enjoy it as much as the family and I do!

Great recipe! I usually use another pasta sauce recipe but wanted to mix things up. I think I need to add a bit more garlic and herbs next time but it was still very nice. I used a mix of canned and fresh tomatoes and cooked a bit longer to thicken a bit more based on comments. Doubled the recipe to freeze half. Would make again

Absolutely loved this. Found myself wanting spaghetti Bolognese but no dolmio in the pantry. Good old google led me to your recipe. This made two jars and it's so lovely and thick, and oh so tasty.

Oh yum! This was delicious. Great way to use up an abundance of fresh tomatoes. Were given plenty of tomatoes that a family member grows, this recipe and tomato soup are fab ways to use them. Thank you

Ok so I pushed my luck and tripled this recipe as I had a glut of homegrown tomatoes and it all just fit in my thermo. I added some homegrown chives, bay leaves and a zucchini. I added a little bit of cornflour at the end as it is a bit runny. I left out the cream as didn't want to store with cream. It does go a bright orange colour but that is just oxidation of the tomatoes. Tastes amazing. I put in small plastic disposable containers and freeze. A triple recipe makes around 5 x 500g containers. When defrosting the mixture separates but it all comes back together smoothly when reheatedh. Thankyou what a lovely recipe!! Ps when cooking I left basket on (instead of MC) all the time as otherwise it spatters too much.

Lovely flavour but not quite as thick as I would have liked, will probably use a bit of cornflower to thicken it and serve with gnocchi.

Beautiful, my one year old loves this. I have made with tinned tomatoes and it's just as good. I often add extra veggies, such as a handful of broccoli and cauliflower - great way of getting veggies into the little one. Also I freeze this sauce no worries.

Really good sauce. I have struggled to find a homemade sauce that I like. This reminds me of capsicum dip. I will tweak it a bit as I thought it was missing something but overall quick, easy & nice.

This sauce is amazing. I added a small zucchini with the capsicum and about a quater of a jar of salsa I had in the fridge that needed to be used. I also used a can of crushed tomatoes as I didn't have fresh.. Still so so good. Thanks.

Great recipe. Had it tonight
Great recipe. Had it tonight with veal tortellini for a quick last minute dinner. 4 and 2yo loved it. I used 400g of chopped tomatoes instead of the 500g of fresh tomatoes and it still worked really well. I'd say it will become a child friendly staple in our house as the kids have requested to have it again. I'm not sure if it tastes like dolmios as I haven't bought premade sauces in years. I would recommend this recipe though.

This pasta sauce was simply divine! My husband is not a fan of tomato-based pasta sauces so I added in a tad more cream and he absolutely loved it. I don't think I could ever go back to store bought pasta sauce. Used this as a base for ravioli and marinara - went very well together. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Wow! Delicious sauce that will become a staple in our house.
I didn't have cream on hand, and tasted before adding the sugar (which wasn't needed), so didn't add either. I did add a chilli with the capsicum and herbs, which added a small kick.
At first it was looking very runny, so I cooked for an extra 10 mins without the MC. Once I blended after that, it was a pretty good consistency, and the flavour was amazing! All it needed was a little ground pepper and it was perfect.
This sauce was a fabulous way to use up a glut of tomatoes - I will definitely make more to freeze. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
