Thank you for a great recipe. I had no idea marmalade was so easy to make. I did reduce the sugar and cooked for longer. Made a beautiful, thick and full of flavour marmalade. Will definitely make again.

Peel the orange and lemons finely and then either chop by hand or in the Thermomix, depending on whether you like the peel or not. (I do half by hand very finely). It's important to then remove all the white pith from the outside of the fruit, otherwise it will be bitter. I add half the weight of fruit with sugar. I cook on Verona and cook for 10 minutes before I add the sugar. Cook longer if you want it firmer. I don't mind runny marmalade.

Lovely tasting marmalade however it was really quite runny after following the recipe. As per other suggestions, I extended cooking time and added some additional sugar. Was still quite runny when pouring into jars but has set a little bit better after being in the the fridge over night.

With excess citrus at the moment marmalade was on my mind, I made this today, it is a beautiful delicate and fragrant recipe, not sure if it will set, I did the 'wrinkle' test but didn't really wrinkle too much. I'd have wanted it to be clearer but it does taste so fresh. I used 300g of sugar, I peeled the rind and hand cut it as I like the look of julienne orange rind, I then peeled them so hardly no pith. The lemon I put in with skin but removed the pips. Thank you for a simple, user friendly recipe 😊🍊🍋

    This is yummo! THANKS Smile
    I made a citrus mix-1/2 grapefruit, 2 limes,1 orange & 1 lemon.
I finely shredded the zest of one lime and the grapefruit (discarded all the pith).
I found that the 5 secs on speed 5 wasn't enough to chop the fruit- did it twice and the w x 1 second turbo.... great tasting result

Thankyou for the recipe. Nice, easy and quick to make. Made 6 little jars.
was given some tart oranges & the quantity of sugar was just right. I used Jam setting sugar and this made it set perfectly. Did cut some of the big pieces of peel before putting into jars.
Has a nice balance of tartness & sweetness. It reminds me of my grandmother as she loved a good tart marmalade so a trip down memory lane with each monthfull
    again Thankyou.

fabulous recipe and i did add 100 grams of brandy instead of the water and as the oranges were so juicy and sweet i reduced the sugar to 300gms - it really does depend on the oranges - i have also chopped up ginger and added during the last 10mins of cooking - it does not last long in this house and everyone that has been gifted a jar loves it

Sometimes I take onboard the comments and adjust as I think for my taste. Less sugar has resulted in a slightly more runny result but with awesome flavour. In the fridge overnight, for my toast in the morning, will hopefully see a great result. However, if not thick enough, I don’t care because the taste is what it’s all about. Easy to follow and so quick and easy ☺️ Thank you for the recipe.

I've just made this recipe for the first time and it’s lovely. I removed all the pith and seeds and finely sliced the rind by hand. I reduced the sugar to 400g, which was sweet enough for us, and also cooked it for an extra 20 minutes. Thanks for sharing another very simple and delicious recipe Angela. Smile

I have a lemon tree and an orange tree, so this was a great way to use up my excess produce. So easy and delicious. Smile I was a bit worried when it was still runny an hour after I put it in the jars, but when I woke up this morning it had set firm. Love the colour and the taste. I recommend removing the mc and covering it with the simmering basket to avoid splattering.

I used mandarins as I didn't have oranges. With the sugar I used 250g jam setting sugar and 250 g of normal sugar. For some reason the mix was very runny. I had to cook for another 25 mins to get it to the point that it was thick enough to set. Having said that, it tastes great on toast.

Chopped the ornages/lemon for around 10 secs initially to get the peel finer.

It is cloudy though but I dont mind tmrc_emoticons.-) Could be because I reallly blitzed the oranges more than the recipe said because I didnt want it so chunky. It didnt set first time, so I had to put it back in the thermie the next day with about 20g of jam setta and 5-10 minutes on 100c speed 2 and it worked a treat. Will definately use again thanks!

I had an epic fail with this. And it's for my Christmas gifts! It was REALLY runny so I cooked it for longer. Still runny. I added more lemon juice (and pips for pectin) and some more sugar. Cooked for another 20mins with MC off. Still runny. Added more sugar then cooked longer and it 'burnt' and is now a bitter sweet orange spread. Really disappointed and not sure why it didn't work!  tmrc_emoticons.(
