      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Smoked Salmon Mousse
  1. Place onion and dill into mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.

  2. Add cream cheese, cream, lemon juice and Tabasco and mix 20 sec/speed 4. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.

  3. Add capers and smoked salmon and mix 30 sec/speed 5, until a smooth mousse-like consistency is achieved. For a coarser texture, pulse Turbo/1 sec/2-3 times, until desired consistency is achieved.

  4. Garnish with chopped chives or dill before serving.

I'm thinking of using it on very thin pancakes, rolled up, for an easy lunch. With some grated veggies too in the pancake (maybe you could use either a tortilla or pita bread). Just a thought tmrc_emoticons.)

22 April, made this, it's delicious!!! Can't wait for lunch tomorrow!!!

It's a winner. Don't even think about skipping the dill, it makes a huge difference. I must say though that it is a party size serving of dip, too much for a family.

Hi my Thermomix was delivered Sunday 30 Mar 14, so I am a brand new user. I am also a Tassie girl and made this recipe using white fish instead of salmon as a sauce for a meal of steamed white fish and vegetables. Great work from the devil Island project. H.
