I'm glad you like the recipe. I haven't made it for a while as my parents pulled their Tamarillo tree out I need to find a new source.....
Enjoy
I made this today and am giving it 5 stars. So easy and brightened up a wet, miserable day when I couldn't get out in the garden. I didn't put the cayenne pepper in as I don't like too much heat but it is still banging!!
I've only just finished the batch of delicious chutney I made last year and I'm feeling a bit sad.😕
I need to check with my friend who has a tamarillo plant!😃

Thanks for this, second time I have made it. Very popular with everyone i have given a jar to. Great to have a Tamarillo recipe.
I halved this recipe as only had 400 grams of Tamarillo's... however, I did not halve all the spices. I used apple cider vinegar instead.
Turned out delicious....I would definately make this again when the Tamarillos are in season.
Thanks for the one and only recipe aggie94
I don't know why that happened. However I re-tested the recipe and turned the temp from Varoma back to 100 after 10minutes and cooked for a further 30 minutes with very similar results.
Glad you liked it! I use other varieties of apples if I don't have any green ones. It does alter the flavour, perhaps a sweeter.
Cheers
I tried this recipe and walked away for 10 minutes...came back and the sauce was all over the bench (still had 20 minutes to go) and running down the Thermie...splatters all over the wall. Dont know what I did wrong but had to finish it off on the stove. Steamer basket was on top (no MC). Turned out nicely though. Followed the recipe to the letter. Ill probably chop everything again in the TM, but will cook on the stove.
Thank you for this recipe, it is delicious! I made one batch which gave me 3 jars of different size. Im now making 3 batches today (stripped the tree bare!) and am going to give as gifts. I didn't have green apples so I used a red in place. It is very similar to sweet chilli jam. Thanks again.
