Great recipe ! Works every time
just to answer the previous comment, the reason sugar is not put in earlier is because it will burn the bottom of the thermomix
    Thank you

I didn't have balsamic vinegar so subbed it for red wine. Worked out fine. I cooked it 5 mins longer than the recipe to get it more caramelised.

Done it twice. The first time with half the sugar, delicious. The second time as listed and spread it over a focaccia adding coarse salt and goat cheese. Incredible!

LorK:if anyone was wondering I doubled the recipe only changing the 2nd time to 9 mins and it worked fine. (Could possibly caramelise a little longer)

  • Fabulous easy way to have

Submitted by Food Goddess on 6. February 2016 - 20:00.

Fabulous easy way to have onions without 'he who is the only person that can cook on the bbq" burns them to charcoal... I used one tablespoon of brown sugar and that was sweet enough for my family...  ⭐️

Yum! So easy and delicious - thank you.

I hate slicing onions so I just whizzed for a few seconds instead.

It was a touch sweet - I'll probably use 1.5 Tbsp of sugar next time... because there will be a next time  tmrc_emoticons.)
