Tip

This dish can easily be portioned up and stored in an air tight container.

Great for detoxifying your body.

Adding the carrots to your bowl first can aid in makeing the chopping more uniform. However ensure you do not put in large pieces that can potentially lodge themselves on your mixing blades.

This is so yummy and a bonus as it is healthy too. I have substituted many different veggies in when I don't have the right ones and it always turns out great. I recommend chopping the harder veggies first and putting them aside before doing the softer ones, much better overrall result

Quick and delicious salad! Easy to vary if you don't quite have everything! I often just use sultanas as I rarely have cranberries.

Lovely, easy, quick salad and healthy to boot! I too have trouble with gaining chopping uniformity. Good idea to place hard veggies in bowl first. I also hold back the sunflower seeds to add with the cranberries, visually better.

    Submitted by humberbugg on 13. November 2016 - 20:52.

I had trouble getting the ingredients into the bowl, so I would maybe chop in a couple of batches to control the size more. I did the carrots for a couple of seconds first. Then added my other ingredients. The flavour is lovely in this salad and will definitely make again, but hopefully with a slightly chunkier texture.

    Submitted by familyofgibbons on 27. May 2016 - 16:07.

Love this recipe and have made it multiple times and never had a fail. Not sure why some are turning to mush. Maybe try choppnig the carrot and hard veggies smaller than the softer ones?? Also use your TM spatular through the hole in the lid to move the contents around while chopping.  That's what I do and always end up with a good consistency. I also add 2 Tblspn's of chia seeds. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe.

    Submitted by Nickeg on 24. November 2015 - 17:48.

This is a great salad but I find if I place the ingredients in the bowl in the same sequence as the recipe it becomes mush with apple and carrots left untouched at the top. I've learnt to put the hard Vegies and parsley in first and the softer ones on top. Perfect!

  • This is a great basic salad

    Submitted by Smartremark on 12. October 2015 - 13:28.

This is a great basic salad recipe. I've made it many times and used what I have in the fridge. I've added red cabbage and fennel. I always add fresh mint and coriander, ano found it delicious.

I usually chop my veggies in a couple of batches so that the softer ones don't turn to purée, dont really follow the recipe times and  speeds now.

I love this recipe, thanks for sharing.

I mixed it for about 10 seconds with the aid of the spatula to get the right consistency. Thank you for sharing this great recipe!

    Submitted by Ali-Cat on 11. September 2015 - 16:53.

    Love it!

I didn't worry about including the cauliflower, I just had a decent sized broccoli.  Its a large serve which is great as it keeps in the fridge beautifully, but because its a large serve which fills the entire bowl, in future I would put the carrot and broccoli in first to give them a pre chop.

I will definitely make this again!
