Pumpkin, potato & curry soup

  • 1 brown onion, chopped into quarters
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 25 grams Butter
  • 500 grams butternut pumpkin, chopped into pieces
  • 120 grams potato, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 500 grams water
  • 120 grams cream

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion and garlic to bowl 15sec/speed 4

    Scrape down sides of bowl

     

  2. Add butter 5 min/100 degrees/speed 1

     

  3. Add pumpkin, potato and curry powder 15sec/speed 4

     

  4. Add water 20min/100 degrees/speed 1

     

  5. Add cream 1min/speed 4 gradually reaching speed 8

     

  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
