- 100g uncooked rice
- 1500g water
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 white onion
- 15g fresh ginger root sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 200g chicken breast
- 1/2-1 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 tablespoon fish sauce
- handful of coriander leaves
- handful of chopped shallots

Recipe's preparation
Chop chicken finely or mince coarsley in TM
2. Rince rice and add to TM bowl with water
3. Cook 30 mins/100 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /Sp 2. Once cooked it should resemble a porridge consistency. Remove and set aside
4. Rinse and dry bowl. Add coriander and chop 2 secs/Sp 6. Remove and set aside
5. Add ginger, garlic and onion and chop for 2secs/Sp 7. Add oil and saute for 2 mins/Varoma/Sp 1
6. Attach butterful, add chicken, pepper and fish sauce. Cook for 6 mins/100degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /Sp "Gentle stir setting"
7. Add the rice porridge and cook for 3 mins/100 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /Sp 1. Add chopped coriander through lid about 5 secs before end of cooking time.
8. Serve garnished with chopped shallots

Highly recommend this soup. I was trying to recreate something my mother used to make often. I ended up adding additional white pepper and chilli and some additional fish sauce for flavour. Great breakfast soup for cold and flu season! Thank you

This was delicious thanks Janet. I added one star anise when I put in the minced chicken And used a whole white onion when I make it again soon, I think I will try short grain rice, as Jasmine was what I had on hand. Thanks !
