If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and line rectangle tin with baking paper.

Place Parmesan and cheddar cheese into mixing bowl and grate 10 sec / speed 9. Transfer to a separate bowl and set aside.

Add 800 ml of water to mixing bowl. Place broccoli into varoma and cook on varoma temp for 10 minutes, speed 3.

Once broccoli is cooked remove varoma and tip out water.

Place eggs and cream into mixing bowl and mix 10 secs, speed 3.

Layer broccoli and combined cheeses in prepared tin. Pour over egg and cream mixture. Cook uncovered in oven for about 25 minutes or until sets.

Cool 5 minutes. Cut into 12 small rectangles for snack or toddler size or  6 larger for a main. Serve with salad.

    Serve warm or cold.

A wonderful, easy and very practical recipe! Big Smile I have made this twice this week! The second time, I added mushrooms, tomato, leek, broccoli and bacon this time around.. adding an extra egg and using 100g of cream - to allow for the extra veges etc.

Was really nice! Very tasty. I did have trouble with grating the cheddar cheese I had, it ended up a big mess smeared all over the bowl and blades, so  had to throw it out and grate by hand Not sure if the speed was too high or my cheese to crumbly and soft. I used tasty cheddar. tmrc_emoticons.)  Great LCHF  recipe too!
