5 ingredient Iced Vovo biscuits

5 ingredient Iced Vovo biscuits

  • 60 grams Butter
  • 1 x 340g package Vanilla Cake Mix, home brand is fine
  • 1 egg


  • 3 tablespoons raspberry jam

Chocolate dip and coconut sprinkle

  • 3/4 cup choc bits
  • 2 tsp coconut oil, or vegetable oil (optional, but makes the chocolate a little easier to melt)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease/line a baking sheet.
    1. Melt the cubed butter in the Closed lid, 50°C/3 mins/sp2

    2. Add the cake mix and the egg.

    3. Blend together sp4/20secs or until combined.

    4. Roll spoonfulls of mixture and place on the tray. Leave room for spreading.

    5. Make an indentation in the centre and fill with a little jam.

    6. Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden.

    7. Leave to cool on the tray for a few minutes befote transferring to a wire rack.
  2. Choc dip and coconut sprinkle
  3. 1. Melt the chocolate and oil in a cup or small jug, in your preferred way. I did mine in the microwave on a low setting.

    2. Dip half of the biscuit in the chocolate and then sprinkle with the coconut.

    3. Set to dry on a baking paper lined tray, in the fridge for a faster set.

Oh My Goodness...it doesn't get much easier than this...
Yeah yeah...I know it's a packet mix, but go easy on yourself. Every now and then you are allowed to cheat...!
This is a great on to get the kids involved in the kitchen.
