Tip

  • I find with the quantity of ingredients in this recipe, it is easier to make it in 2 batches.

When adding your extras, like cocoa or choc chips. I simply put the amount of dough required back in the thermomix with the ingredient and mix on Reverse Speed 2 for 20 secs

  • Original Recipe found here: //www.stayathomemum.com.au/recipes/our-favorite-recipes/120-biscuits-for-less-than-5/

    Sensational!

The kids and I did a batch of these, and broke them down into m and m, chilli chocolate chunks, Nutella, marshmallow and choc chip. What a hit.

Will try freezing some, they'd be perfect for school recesses.

These are great and makes so many to stock the freezer for future use. I made some choc chip and some into jam drops. I will do some just with sultanas next time. And I leave out the sugar - sweet enough from the condensed milk

Nice and potentially easy - a BIG hit with everyone. Unfortunately I thought the tip to make it in two batches might only apply to TM31 users and not a TM5 like me - I WAS WRONG, haha!

  • Great recipe.  These biscuits

    Submitted by mazz55 on 10. November 2014 - 18:22.

Great recipe.  These biscuits are so quick and easy to make.  I don't use as much sugar and they still turn out great.  They don't last long in our family - I make up different sorts in batches of a dozen e.g. some with jam, glace cherries and the last batch chocolate.   tmrc_emoticons.)

  • This is a great recipe, but

    Submitted by atlast13 on 1. October 2014 - 07:36.

This is a great recipe, but it does not mix when you do it as one batch. I should've read the tip on the recipe. We made jam drops, peanut biscuits and plain biscuits. I really liked that it made 4 batches and I used 2 dough batches and had 2 in the fridge, which we used a bit later. Has anyone rolled the dough into a sausage shape, wrapped it and frozen it, like the ones at the shops? My family really like this one, even my dog snuck 2 biscuits when my husband put them down for a minute!

We will be making this one again-IN 2 BATCHES!And I might try the Nestle caramel bits too, thanks Louise Saxon.

Does it really need that much sugar?  it seems a lot with condensed milk sweetness as well

  • Awesome!  And the mixture

    Submitted by AWNW on 2. August 2014 - 18:46.

Awesome!  And the mixture does freeze really well which is really great when you don't have time to mix up a whole new batch of anything.

I have made them gluten free just by using standard gluten free flour and they were still delicious.
