Marble cake with oil and yogurt

Dough part 1

  • 3 eggs
  • 200 grams caster sugar
  • 250 grams SR flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 40 grams oil, rice bran, grapeseed, coconut
  • 125 grams Greek yogurt, natural
  • 1 dash vanilla essence

Chocolate dough part 2

  • 3 tablespoons Dutch Cocoa
  • 1 splash of Galliano, or Frangelico, optional

Recipe's preparation

    Preparation of dough part 1
  1. Preheat oven to 180. Grease and line a 20cm round cake tin.

    Place eggs and sugar inClosed lid.

    Wizz speed 5, 20 seconds.

    Add yogurt, flour and vanilla.

    Mix sp 4, 15 seconds.

    Add flours.

    Mix speed 5, 10 seconds. Scrape down and repeat if necessary.

  2. Chocolate dough ( part 2 )
  3. Spoon 2/3 of vanilla mix into  prepeared cake tin. 

    Leave remainder inClosed lid.

    Add cocoa and liquer ( if using) to Closed lid.

    Wizz 10 seconds sp. 5. Scrape and repeat if neccessary.

    Gently spread chocolate mixture on top of the vanilla mixture.

    Using a skewer or chopstick, gently swirl the two together.

    Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes to 1 hour, or until tested when cooked.

Ovens vary...please check every 5 minutes after about 45 minutes.
