Recipe's preparation

  1. Add flour and butter to the bowl and mix speed 8 for 3-4 seconds until just combined.  Add sugar, milk, eggs and vanilla  20 seconds.  Add berries (ensure well frozen) and chocolate and  for a further 15 secs.  Turn dough out onto Thermomat or floured bench and gently pat out.  Using a scone cutter cut out 8-10 scones and place on oven tray.  Bake at 210 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.  Every oven is different so please check after 10 minutes as the temperature is quite high and it depends how thick your scones are.  When baked leave on tray for 5 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack.  Serve as they are or with some butter.

Play around with which frozen berries you would like and change white chocolate to milk or dark chocolate.  Frozen blueberries and dark chocolate work well.  Enjoy!
