      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place butterfly into position.
  2. Add butter and sugar to the TM Bowl. Beat 1 min/Speed 4.
  3. Scrape down the bowl.
  4. Add egg and vanilla paste. Beat 15 sec/Speed 4.
  5. Remove the butterfly and scrape down the TM Bowl.
  6. Add flour and baking powder to the mixture. Process dough mode 20 sec.
  7. Scrape down the bowl and process on dough mode. 20 sec.
  8. Remove the cookie dough from the TM Bowl and divide into two.
  9. Wrap each dough ball in plastic wrap, flatten the ball and refrigerate until it is cold and hardened.
  10. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celcius and prepare a cookie slide with baking paper.
  11. Roll the cookie dough to just under 1 cm thick.
  12. Use a cookie cutter to cut shapes from the dough and transfer them to the cookie slide.
  13. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden.
  14. Cool on the tray. Once cooled the cookies can be decorated with royal icing.
