Forum Abbreviations
Hi,
Here's what it means:
Time: 16mins,
Temperature:100 degrees,
this means reverse function
Speed: sp 1.5
with basket on top of TM bowl and MC removed....this means that you put the lid on the bowl but instead of putting the cup in the whole, you sit the basket on top of the lid and cook with it there. You do this when you want to let the steam out but not let the contents spray out. You would do it if you were trying to reduce the liquid.

i think i figured it out, the the simmer basket it to keep food down and only liquid up top, 1.5 is the speed (half way between 1 and 2 well thats what i am doing anyway
Hi ladies, i am VERY VERY new to thermomix
i am just struggling with some of the abreviations and some of the recipes ask to do something that dont make sense to me.. sorry i feel like a dill asking.. but..
in the chicken risotto one step is
Give contents of the bowl a stir and add water and stock and cook for 16mins, 100 degrees, , sp 1.5 with basket on top of TM bowl and MC removed
what is SP... and what does the whole 1.5 with basket on top of the termomix with the measuring cup removed mean.. why would you put the basket on top?? your not using the basket for anything correct???
i am giving it a go now for lunch but its all a learning curve, this will be only the 2nd time i have turned it on and the first time i have cooked in it..
