I have the TM5 purchased in Mexico with a spanish chip. Where can I purchase an english American chip?

Hi luwarn23

Thankyou for your post. You can only activate your chip on the platform if the country is listed as one of the countries already existing on Cookidoo.

To find out which countries already exist on Cookidoo, go the the help button and a dropdown menu will appear, if the country you are wanting is listed then yes you can activate your chip on the platform. If it doesn't show then the chip won't show on the platform.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team on 1800 004 838.

Kind Regards

it states on here that [=#113c2b; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif]f you own a TM5, you can also activate any recipe chips you own on the recipe platform and have those recipes available to you as digital content. Does this hold true for any recipe chip. I have some that are from spain and mexico, will these transfer on the platform regardless of the country you are in?[/]

Hi Derekm,

Thank you for your feedback. While it's not possible to transfer recipes from the Recipe Community to the recipe platform, the recipe platform offers exclusive content that has been created and tested by Thermomix® Recipe Development team and are designed to work in both TM5 and TM31. If you own a TM5, you can also activate any recipe chips you own on the recipe platform and have those recipes available to you as digital content.

Kind regards,

Good to hear - seemed the obvious choice!

I'll experiment with the recipe 'platfrom', once it has been released...

I have just set up the recipe platform and it seems that at this stage you cannot even add your own recipes, only use the tested ones. We really need to be able to transfer them from here to the new platform

Hi Tana64,

Vorwerk have advised that they have begun testing the next step in innovation for the Thermomix TM5, the cook-key accessory. The cook-key will allow users to connect wirelessly to allow the Thermomix Recipe Platform to communicate with your Thermomix, so you may enjoy the benefits of Guided Cooking with your digital recipe collections.

Hi all;

My husband heartily enjoys the step-by-step functionality provided by a recipe chip, and therefore has great trouble accepting that community recipes have to be read from the computer/phone screen.

It may be in the works, but if not...

A blank recipe chip, or 'Community Recipe' chip, that we can save community recipes to and load on the Thermomix screen, would make the Thermomix a much more appealing product. I realise that community recipes would only be as good as the person's ability to write them, but definitely something that we would purchase/use extensively. A 'Personal Recipes' chip, that you can fill with custom recipes that you create at home, would be the obvious next step (more of a desktop app than a website).

Cheers!
