I am also becoming very frustrated with the attachment of the whisk. I have emptied the bowl 5 times whilst trying to make the mashed potato and have rechecked that it has been installed properly. Is there anything else I can do? I have managed to get it to mostly stay in place by starting it with half of the potatoes and added them slowly after it was going. It looks as though it has dislodged again though but it is still working for the moment. Any advice?

Hello. I'm new here. I also have issues with the butterfly whisk when making mashed potato. I've attached it properly. It's just too loose and I'm worried it will damage the blades. Please help.

Hi thermomillar and K8z

Sorry to hear you have experienced issues with your butterfly whisk. We have passed your post onto our Customer Service team. Someone will be in touch with you to discuss.

We hope these instructions assist others in fixing the butterfly whisk –
Place the Butterfly Whisk onto the blade.
Slightly turn it against the intended rotation of the blade. Turn the Butterfly Whisk anticlockwise to lock, if the blade is set to normal forward direction.
It should be hooked under the blade now and it should not be possible to pull it off vertically.

Its ball-shaped end ensures that it can be removed easily. To remove the Butterfly whisk, hold the ball-shaped end and pull it out while turning it in both directions to release it from under the blade.

Do not add ingredients that might damage or block the butterfly whisk when it is attached to the blade and the motor is running. Make sure ingredients are not too large and the bowl is not overloaded. As per manufacturer’s instructions, do not use the Butterfly Whisk over speed 4, this will dislodge the Butterfly Whisk.

We hope this information helps. Someone will be in touch with you to discuss.

Warm regards

Hi there,

I have the same problem as other people seem to be having in that my butterfly whisk always comes off when making risotto or mash and ends up being mixed up with everything else! It's very frustrating to have to empty the whole contents of the bowl and reinsert the whisk, only to have it happen again! I'm not sure what else to try.

Hello - this seems to be quite a common problem and one that I've been experiencing since I purchased my machine - I've only just discovered the forum! My whisk always falls off when making the mash etc and I have to empty everything out, re-attach, pur everything back in and try again (often to have it fail several more times). I've checked videos on how to attach and I'm pretty sure I'm doing it correctly - is there a fix for this?
