I am responding to a few old topics, I know but Anne, your breakfast sounds delish and oh-so healthy. I will definitely try this when I get my Thermo in a few days. Smile

Hi sheriley, you could try putting your bread into a large brown paper bag  not sure if it will keep your bread crusty but might be worth a try.I have done this with prebought rolls from a bakery and it seems to keep them from going soft .

My breakfast is 1 apple 1 banana 1 other piece of fruit 1/2 whole lemon - no pips some pecans cashews walnuts and almonds some dried coconut oat/wheat bran sunflower seeds pepitas if I have them, blitz on turbo three or four pulses no more than 2 secs total. Use a spatula to put into a bowl add 2 -3 tbls of home made plain yoghurt. I don't put the yoghurt in the T/X just add it at the end. Never hungry after this, eliminates need for morning tea and lunch can be small. Never any digestion/other type problems. Sometimes I add a few rolled oats. If too much, half can be put aside in fridge without yoghurt to be enjoyed the next day.

The only way I can think of is to leave it out of it's bag in a bread bin, but I imagine the whole loaf would dry out. Maybe you could put it back in oven for 5 mins on day two or three, wrapped in foil. The only bread that I know that stays crusty are those continental loaves but they are like bricks after a day or so. I keep mine in a bag in the fridge and put up with a softened crust. Let's face it the best bread is straight out of the oven. Anne Smile

Has anyone anytips on storing bread to keep it crusty, I make the  everday white bread and it,s great. I store it in the cupboard in a plastic bag like shop bought bread . but it loses it,s crisp crusty crust. The loaf  lasts us 3 days and remains fresh  but  the crust goes soft.

Thanks Sheriley

Where do I find the recipe for quinoa breakfast pudding? I like the sound of it.

Hi nic11

I do the normal CADA AND add yoghurt to it once it is chopped.  I like it all.  The other thing we have quite often for breakfast is pancakes. Here's the recipe http://www.foodfourthought.com.au/blog/?p=2340

Enjoy!  Fiona

Hi Nic glad to see you are loving your TMX Bigsmile  My goodness I don't know what I did before this came into my house in Dec but I'm in  Love I use mine everyday.  Keep up the great work and I must say I love CADA but will give your recipe a go.  Cheers  :D

I'm in <3 with my TMX that I've now become a Consultant after 2 months of owning one.

Thanks Mrs ThermoHeaven.  I am loving my Thermomix.

I have since adapted the CADA as I am not much into the dates and make CAYA instead - Coconut, Apple, Yoghurt (I use a couple of dessert spoons) and Almonds.  Love this for breakfast now.

Well done Nic Cooking 7 you're cooking up a storm

Cooking 7

I'm new to Thermomix, just received mine 3 days ago and I have already whipped up a number of things, Vegie Stock, CADA (without the dates - twice), GF Bread, Fast Chicken Curry, Chai Tea, Chorizo Hotpot, Banana Sorbet, Cookie Dough, Quinoa Breakfast Pudding, Indian Spiced Potatoes, Jaffa Custard, Mixed Seed Cracker!!!!!!!

I was wondering if a new thread for miscellanous cooking/baking could be created under 'What am I cooking today' , so many wonderful ideas on the forum I can't wait to get started today. Since I'm here and it's breakfast I'll be making CAA (CADA without the dates!)
