  • 360 g plain flour
  • 360 g sugar
  • 200 g Butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • 500 g water

Recipe's preparation

    Pastry
  1. Grease and flour a tart tin (Ø 26 cm) and set aside.
  2. Add 360g of plain flour.
  3. Add 360g of sugar.
  4. Add 200g butter cut in cubes.
  5. Add 1 egg.
  6. Add 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  7. Add 1 tsp of baking powder
  8. Without the measuring cup, place the lid and spatula in the lid hole to help mixing, and then...
  9. Mix for 1 min in velocity 4.
  10. Separate 1/3 of the pastry aside and roll out the remaining pastry and put it in the baking tin, covering the bottom and sides. Leave it aside.
  11. Add 500 ml of water into the mixing bowl, and then...
  12. Mix it for 10 seconds in velocity 10.
  13. Throw the water away and clean the mixing bowl.
  14. Filling
  15. Add 1100g of sliced bananas into the mixing bowl.
  16. Add 60g of sugar into the mixing bowl.
  17. Add 5 pinches of cinnamon powder into the mixing bowl, and then...
  18. Without the measuring cup on, cook for 40 min/100 degrees/ Counter-clockwise operation/velocity 1, placing varoma tray without the lid instead of measuring cup onto mixing bowl lid.
  19. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180°C and roll the ramaining pastry into strips and reserve.
  20. Transfer all the filling into the baking tray.
  21. Bake for 15 minutes.
  22. Remove baking tray from the oven and add the strips in a woven way to cover the tart. Sprinkle cinnemon on top.
  23. Put it back in the oven for an extra 25 minutes.
  24. Allow to cool before removing from the baking tray.

Tip

If the bottom does not cook well, leave it for longer in the oven before adding the strips.
