  • 50 grams cornflour
  • 60-100 grams sugar, to taste
  • 25 grams cocoa powder, (or replace with a couple rows of chocolate & reduce sugar)

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Instructions
    1. Add all ingredients to bowl & cook 8 minutes, 90*, speed 4.
    2. If after 8 minutes your custard isn't thick cook for an extra few minutes. I'm finding during winter the custard is taking longer to cook now.

Tip

If you want a thinner custard you can simply half the eggs & cornflour.

    Super thick custard. I added the min amount of sugar, but think it needed more for my taste.

    the texture is a bit shiny due to the cornflour, so think I would probably reduce it a bit next time.
