      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add pitted cherries, sugar, vanilla bean (split), sugar, tartaric acid and water to Thermomix bowl.
  2. Add simmering basket in place of measuring cup. Cook 30 minutes/100 degrees/Speed 2.
  3. Blend 5 seconds/Speed 5.
  4. Strain through a fine seive, cloth or nut milk bag then pour into a sterilised bottle. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Thanks for the recipe, I'm always looking for different cordial reciepes. I'm not a huge cherry fan so i added in some blackberries and raspberries, and there was a bit more pulp but still tasted great tmrc_emoticons.)
