Clone of pork & snowpea stir-fry

  • 500 g Pork, diced
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1cm ginger
  • 1 chilli
  • 6 spring onions
  • 180 g snow peas


  • 2-3 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 125 g stock, (can be veggie or chicken)

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. In a bowl combine sauce ingredients and set aside.

    2. In another bowl add diced pork, cornflour, soy sauce and rice wine vinegar and stir through. Leave in the fridge to marinate for 30min.

    3. Chop garlic, ginger and chilli (deseeded if you prefer) for 3 seconds speed 7.

    4. Add oil and heat 1min & 30seconds Varoma, speed 1.

    5. Add pork mixture and cook 5min Varoma, speed 1 on Counter-clockwise operation

    6. Place in spring onions and snowpeas and cook 2min Varoma speed 1 Counter-clockwise operation

    7. Add in sauce and cook 2min Varoma, speed 1 Counter-clockwise operation

You can add in additional veggies or have some on the side or serve with rice.

    Yum! The flavour in this was really tasty. 

    While I cooked the pork, i added veges to the varoma at top - carrot, bok choy, broccoli, red capsicum, snow peas (the bigger veg on the bottom, quicker cooking on the top). 

    Then I kept it like this for the last 2 minutes as well (instead of putting into the bowl). 

    In a seperate bowl, i put shelf fresh egg noodles with hot water to get them ready. 

    For the last minute, i put all of the noodles, the veg from up top and some bean sprouts into the bowl,and did the last 1 minute of cooking. 

    So much flavour, lots of fresh vegies, and my kids even gobbled it all down!

    One error I think in the recipe is that it doesnt mention where to add the soy sauce. I assume it is supposed to go into the marinade of the pork but it doesnt specify. 

    Thank you - I loved the flavour of this, and loved being able to do a 'stirfry' in the thermi.
