STEAK, KIDNEY AND MUSHROOM CASSEROLE

  • 500 grams Casserole Steak, diced
  • 250-300 grams Lamb's Kidney, diced
  • 200 grams button mushrooms, quartered
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 level tablespoon beef stock concentrate
  • 1 level tablespoon vegetable stock concentrate
  • 200 grams water
  • 3 level tablespoons plain flour

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Preparation
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

    2. Add steak, kidney, mushrooms and butter to TM bowl. Saute 6 min/100 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

    3. Add water, beef stock concentrate, vegetable stock concentrate and flour. Cook another 4 min/100 degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

    4. Using ovenproof dish. spray with oil, or grease with a little butter. Empty TM bowl into the prepared dish. Do not overfill.

    5. Bake in oven for 45 minutes or until meat is cooked.

    6.Serve with your choice of vegetables.

Tip

Try adding an additional sauce for a bit of variety when adding the stock.

Vegemite
Hoisin Sauce
B.B.Q. Sauce
Mustard
If needed adjust gravy with a little water at the end for desired consistency.
