Recipe's preparation
Place chilli, ginger, garlic and spring onion in the TM bowl and chop on speed 7 for 3 - 5 seconds.
Add lemon, honey and soy sauce and mix on speed 3 for 10 seconds.
Wet a piece of baking paper, scrunch it up and lay it flat in the bottom tray of the varoma tray. Place fish on top and (reserving a small amount of sauce for serving) pour sauce over the top of the salmon fillets.
Place 500g water in the TM bowl (no need to rinse) and steam fillets for 8 - 10 mins on Varoma setting (very dependent on the size and thickness of your fillet) or until the salmon flakes and the flesh is translucent in the middle.
Serve on a bed of steamed veggies (which you can cook at the same time) and with a drizzle of reserved sauce. Enjoy!

I usually pan fry my salmon so we can have crispy skin fillets but the last fillets I bought were skinless (much to my disappointment). 🤦🏻♀️
Because of this, I felt I needed a more gentle method of cooking so went looking and discovered this varoma recipe.
So glad I did. The recipe was quick and easy and used all the Asian flavours that my family likes.
Will definitely be making this again.

Very tasty indeed!
Quick, simple and delicious. Steamed salmon for approx 18 minutes, and served with rice, steamed broccolini and snow peas.
The sauce was fabulous, but I was looking for more liquid to drizzle over my rice and veggies, so I think next time I will double the honey, soy and lemon juice component to make it a bit saucier. Will definitely be making this again!

Great flavours! I steam rice at the same time, but find the 8-10 mins cooking time too short. We usually need to cook for 20 mins unless the salmon is cut into smaller pieces
