Recipe's preparation

    Prepare Marinade
  1. Add the ginger, garlic, lime juice, palm sugar, fish sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce into the TM

  2. Set aside half of the marinade.

  3. Marinade Beef
  4. Drizzle half of the dressing onto the beef, cover with plastic wrap and place into the fridge, turning occasionaly, for a couple of hours to develop the flavours.

  5. Preheat a BBQ grill or chargrill pan on high.  Cook steak on grill for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium or until cokked to your liking.  Transfer to a plate and set aside for 10 minutes to rest.

  6. Prepare Salad
  7. Place the tomato, cucumber, onion, chilli, mint, corriander, basil, peanuts and lime leaves in a large bowl.  Thinly slice the steak across the grain and add to the salad.  Drizzle with the remaining dressing and gently toss to combine.  Divided salad among bowls.

    AMAZING
I'm certain this is the best bought or home made Thai Beef Salad I've ever had!
The inclusion of kaffir lime leaves is a must. I didn't have palm sugar so had to use raw sugar which still tasted fine, possibly not as traditional though.
I served it with vermicelli noodles.

This recipe is fantastic. I did 30 grams sesame oil and 30 grams olive oil (to appease the sesame oil haters in the house) 1/3 marinade on meat and rest on salad. I added mixed lettuce, capsicum and vermicelli noodles as well as above ingredience. DELISH

Replaced palm sugar with brOwn sugar (only cos I didnt have any palm) Will be making again- I will try with chicken- I can see how it would work. I am going to make extra batch of dressing and keep it in the fridge - so I can quickly make it whenever I feel like ittmrc_emoticons.) In regards to speed and time in dressing section- its only a dressing so blitz it on 9 until u cant hear the garlic and ginger crushing- took me 15-20sec
